Please consider

These terms apply to all services and products delivered by Langr Vitae Inc., including health assessments, consultations, and wellness interventions delivered at the Langr Vitae Atelier or by a representative of the company.

Purpose: Our services measure and support optimal health. We do not diagnose, treat, or manage medical conditions. Services include body composition analysis, finger-prick capillary blood sampling for biomarker evaluation (e.g. blood glucose, biological age), and aerobic fitness assessment (VOâ‚‚ max or Åstrand-Rhyming protocol). All results and recommendations are educational and informational in nature.

 

Non-Diagnostic Services:  None of the data gathered is solely or purposely diagnostic of an allopathic illness or disease. Results should not be used to self-diagnose, alter medication, or replace the advice of a qualified healthcare provider.

 

Capillary Blood Sampling:  Finger-prick blood sampling is performed by trained personnel for wellness biomarker analysis only. Risks include minor discomfort, bruising, or infection at the puncture site. Clients with blood-borne conditions, bleeding disorders, or those taking anticoagulants must disclose this prior to assessment.

 

Fitness Testing:  Aerobic fitness testing involves submaximal or maximal physical exertion and carries inherent risks including dizziness, fatigue, or cardiovascular events. Clients with known or suspected cardiovascular, pulmonary, or metabolic conditions should obtain physician clearance prior to participation. 

 

Pre-Assessment Screening:  Clients must complete a pre-assessment health screening questionnaire Langr Vitae Inc. reserves the right to defer or halt testing if client safety is in question.

 

Relationship with Your Healthcare Provider:  Clients should maintain care with their physician or specialist. Do not disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice based on information provided by Langr Vitae Inc.

 

Client Responsibility:  Participation is voluntary and undertaken at the client’s own discretion. The client remains solely responsible for their own health decisions. Langr Vitae Inc. assumes no responsibility for health outcomes arising during or after participation.

 

Limitation of Liability:  To the fullest extent permitted by Nova Scotia and Canadian law, Langr Vitae Inc., its employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages or health outcomes arising from the use of our services.

 

Privacy & Data:  The collection, use, and storage of personal and health information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is informed by the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), S.N.S. 2010, c. 41. All health data is stored anonymously by Client ID and follows ISO guidelines for data security. Although we have done our best to protect your data,  breach is possible. It is our responsibility to contact you within 30 days if this were to occur.

 
Emergencies:  Our services are not appropriate for emergencies. In the event of a medical emergency, call 911 immediately. Our staff are trained in basic emergency response and will assist and call emergency services as needed.
