Our Commitment
Langr Vitae Health Assessment Clinic is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive experience for all patients, visitors, and staff — regardless of ability or disability. We are working toward the goals of the Nova Scotia Accessibility Act and strive to identify and remove barriers across our services, communications, and digital presence.

 

Standards we follow
Our accessibility efforts are guided by:

  • Nova Scotia Accessibility Act (2017) — targeting an accessible Nova Scotia by 2030

  • Accessible Canada Act — the federal framework for a barrier-free Canada

  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA — for our website and digital content

  • Canadian Human Rights Act — ensuring non-discrimination in service delivery

 

How we support accessibility

We are committed to reducing barriers in the following areas: 

  • Digital access — our website is designed to support screen readers, keyboard navigation, sufficient colour contrast, and resizable text

  • Information and communications — content is available in alternate formats upon request, including large print and plain language

  • Patient services — we welcome feedback and accommodation requests to ensure equitable access to our health assessment services

 

Known limitations
Some older PDF documents and third-party embedded tools on our website may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are actively working to address these gaps and will provide accessible alternatives upon request.

What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

 We have adapted this site in accordance with WCAG [2.0 / 2.1 / 2.2 - select relevant option] guidelines, and have made the site accessible to the level of [A / AA / AAA - select relevant option].
